Our decisions and personal desires often lead us to uncharted territories. Discover how to continue your path of learning and healing alongside the Lord in this insightful article.
"Keep the commands of the Lord your God, walking in His ways, keeping His statutes, His commandments, His judgments, and His testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go, so that the Lord may fulfill the promise He made to me, saying: 'If your children take heed to their way, to walk before Me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, you shall not lack a man on the throne of Israel.'" 1 Kings 2:3-4
In life, many of us aspire to achieve professional goals, build a family, have children, and ensure we provide them with the support to follow in our footsteps. These aspirations are commendable, but it's crucial to recognize a deeper, more holistic approach that can enrich our lives: living aligned and nourished by the Holy Spirit. If we desire a fruitful life in faith, we must prioritize our relationship with Jesus.
The transformation we undergo through our encounter with the Lord will leave a distinct and lasting mark on our descendants. Future generations will be blessed with the legacy of a faith deeply rooted in their hearts, enduring until the day they are welcomed at Heaven's gates.
It's not about following Jesus' exact footsteps but rather basing our actions on the same principle of faith He embodied, allowing us to connect with our Heavenly Father.
"Before the Passover Festival, Jesus knew that His hour had come to depart from this world to the Father. Having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end." John 13:1
In this world filled with temptations and suffering, we must understand our place and purpose. From a young age, we tend to mimic what we hear and see from our parents, elders, or teachers. How wonderful it would be if we could emulate what our Heavenly Father did and said.
Imagine how simple it would be if we had Him by our side every day, wouldn't it? The most extraordinary thing is that we can hear Him and see Him act through the Word and works of Jesus Christ. "Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority, but the Father who dwells in Me does the works."
"Now may the God of peace, who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen." Hebrews 13:20-21
The great challenge as brothers and sisters in faith is to learn to embark on our paths supported by faith. Both God the Father and Jesus Christ fulfilled their destinies in complete communion. Filled with hope and guided by the Holy Spirit, they possessed a unique assurance and goodness. Living and spreading the divine Word, Jesus Christ fulfilled His mission: sent by God the Father, He came to live among us once more.
Answering the Lord's call and following His path has never been an easy task. However, throughout our lives, we have gathered testimonies of the wonderful blessings bestowed upon us on this journey. We have witnessed that with God, nothing is impossible.
The secret lies in our communication with Him through prayer, but to reach that point, we must first accept the path laid before us, for that is how we embrace His call.
"Then Jesus said to His disciples, 'If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?'" Matthew 16:24-26
By accepting the Lord's call, we also embrace the nature of the journey. At times, it will be uphill, but at every step, we will have the infinite source of love to restore calm in times of distress, fatigue, anger, or disappointment.
We can always trust that God will provide the strength to bear the heaviest burdens. We can rely on Him, for He will always surprise us with His restorative hand in the most challenging and unexpected moments.
Faith and hope guide us on our journey toward fulfillment and closeness with our Heavenly Father. By nourishing ourselves with the Holy Spirit and following Jesus' example, we forge a path of love and light that will transcend generations, leaving a legacy of faith in the hearts of our descendants. Thus, each day, aligned with the divine will, we can move forward with confidence and hope, knowing that in every step, God is by our side. May His love guide and sustain us always!
