Our decisions and personal desires often lead us to unexpected places. Discover in this article how to continue your journey of learning and healing with the Lord.
"And observe what the Lord your God requires: Walk in obedience to him, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and regulations, as written in the Law of Moses. Do this so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go and that the Lord may keep his promise to me: ‘If your descendants watch how they live, and if they walk faithfully before me with all their heart and soul, you will never fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel." 1 Kings 2:3-4
In life, many of us aspire to achieve career goals, raise a family, and ensure our children have the support they need to follow in our footsteps. These aspirations are commendable, but it's crucial to recognize a deeper, more holistic approach that can enrich our lives: living in alignment with and nurtured by the Holy Spirit. To lead a fruitful life in faith, we must prioritize our relationship with Jesus.
The transformation we undergo through our encounter with the Lord will leave a lasting impact on our descendants. Future generations will be blessed with a legacy of faith deeply rooted in their hearts, enduring until they are welcomed at the gates of Heaven.
It's not about following Jesus' steps to the letter, but about basing our actions on the same principle of faith that He embodied, to connect us with our Heavenly Father.
"It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end." John 13:1
In a world full of temptations and challenges, we must understand our place and purpose. From a young age, we often mimic what we hear and what our parents, elders, or teachers do. How wonderful it would be if we could emulate what our Heavenly Father did and said.
Imagine how simple life would be if we had Him by our side every day, wouldn't it? The most extraordinary thing is that we can hear Him and see Him at work through the Word and works of Jesus Christ. "Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak to you, I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me, he does the works."
"Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." Hebrews 13:20-21
The great challenge as brothers and sisters in faith is to embark on our paths relying on faith. Both God the Father and Jesus Christ fulfilled their destinies in complete communion. Filled with hope and guided by the Holy Spirit, they possessed unique security and goodness. By living and spreading the divine Word, Jesus Christ fulfilled his mission: entrusted by God the Father, he came to live among us once more.
Responding to the Lord's call and following His path has never been easy. However, throughout our lives, we have witnessed the marvelous blessings bestowed upon us on this journey. We have found that with God, nothing is impossible.
The secret lies in our communication with Him through prayer, but to reach that point, we must first accept the path before us, for that is how we accept His call.
"Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?" Matthew 16:24-26
In accepting the Lord's call, we also embrace the nature of the journey. At times, it will be challenging, but every step of the way, we will have an infinite source of love to restore calm in moments of anguish, fatigue, anger, or disappointment.
We can always trust God to provide us with the strength to bear the heaviest burdens. We can trust Him because He will surprise us by acting with His restorative hand in the most difficult and unexpected moments.
Faith and hope guide us on our journey toward wholeness and closeness to our Heavenly Father. As we are nourished by the Holy Spirit and follow the example of Jesus, we forge a path of love and light that will transcend generations, leaving a legacy of faith in the hearts of our descendants. Thus, each day, aligned with the divine will, we can move forward with confidence and hope, knowing that at every step, God is by our side. May His love guide us and sustain us always!
