You can always find your way back to the path of the Lord, no matter where you are. Delve into these verses to deepen your connection with Jesus.
"If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone." Romans 12:18
Often, we find ourselves making decisions without a clear map. We might get lost in the streets of a new place we've moved to or in a country we've just arrived in, simply for the joy of exploring and understanding our new surroundings. However, I realized one day that faith is the map of our lives.
We can progress in our development without relying on its guidance. We can get lost and enjoy that experience. But if we truly wish to reach our destination, the place we call "home," or if we want a deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit, we must follow the path laid out by the map of faith.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6
We often hear the phrase, "I don't want to fall into routine or monotony." However, not all routines are tedious or burdensome. Consider, for example, the routine of having breakfast with our children or taking walks with our loved ones. Similarly, think about the routine of drawing closer to our Lord through prayer.
Prayer, whether in the morning, at night, or whenever we need it, allows us to establish a direct connection with our Father. By guarding our eyes from temptation and filling our hearts with peace, He guides us through the stormy paths of challenges and distractions we encounter in our daily lives.
"And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." 2 Corinthians 3:18
To follow the path of light towards Jesus, we must show spiritual, mental, and emotional openness to God's will, character, and power. If we dare to discover Him and dive deep into our hearts to love and obey His call, we will find a sanctuary of relief and trust with our Lord.
Just like children seeing the ocean for the first time, their reactions and the wonder in their eyes teach us that this first encounter will be etched in their minds forever. The same happens when we place our faith in the Lord.
"Today, we can make that decision to change our current course. Jesus is the only possible way, as He is the bridge that connects us to the true refuge, our God, the Heavenly Father. 'Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it."' Isaiah 30:20-21
Surround yourself with people who nourish your heart, thoughts, and soul. Trust in yourself, your steps, and the decisions you make. The attraction of positive energies will depend on your faith and how you connect with your spirituality and inner needs.
Learn to trust in the Lord, for His gaze will always guide our path. Let us entrust ourselves to His guidance and allow Him to be our compass on this journey of life.
By leading by example and regularly helping those in need, we can easily approach the destination of Faith. We must balance our decisions, thoughts, and emotions towards a divine destination of peace and love.
