We present to you a new way of thinking and observing how you live your life. Have you ever wondered why we have that spontaneous reaction when we see someone smile?
I challenge you to walk past a mirror and not look at it without smiling. It's almost impossible not to want to see yourself in a mirror and observe what it reflects. This happens unconsciously, and often what we see is not really what we want to see.
Conditioned by cultural and social factors, we often forget to see the most significant thing in that mirror's reflection: our inner self. Moreover, in the reflection, we only see ourselves, but what happens when we include others in that image?
"For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was. But the one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of freedom, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effective doer, this man will be blessed in what he does." James 1:23-25
What do you find in your reflection today? Your family, your children, your university or work colleagues? What other loved ones are part of that image? Now, this mirror I present to you has the ability to show you the interior of those people and yourself. Do you truly feel that faith is manifested in that interior? Feeling the grace of the Lord within us is neither a talent nor a gift.
All His light reflected in those who accompany you in life is something that is achieved and built. Just as the body is trained, faith nourishes the heart and love. We must allow the Holy Spirit to enter our hearts and circulate His healing light. As our inner being is reflected, our Lord's intention is for us to live united, in communion.
May that union allow us to grow from mercy and let that reflection enable us to act in favor of those most in need. Make decisions that are fully aligned with the mission of our Heavenly Father. "I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name." Revelation 3:8
We must serve God by acting and trusting that everything He has planned will have a purpose. We may not understand His plan at the moment of acting, but He always guides us on the right path. He likely has an important future reserved for all of us at the gates of Heaven. Faith is deposited in every act we think and perform.
It is present in us to have enough confidence when we wake up and go about our daily lives. If you feel that His light has not reached you, if you do not feel the healing of Jesus, it means you do not have enough faith in His miracle.
"Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago." Isaiah 26:1
The Holy Spirit harbors miracles in every corner of the world. It does not differentiate between ages or social classes. It unites all senses, and with its presence, it allows us to extend the communion of faith among brothers and sisters. It is not a mystery or an effort; our will is responsible for receiving the new challenges God will place in our paths. We must renew our thoughts, our prayers, and at the end of each day, we will be surprised by the results.
