All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever.”And this is the word that was preached to you.

Reflection

Never leave loose ends

"Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today", surely you have heard or read this classic saying. What does it refer to, how can we interpret it? Clearly the purpose of this saying is to call our attention so that we do not waste time. Everything in the world has a life cycle. It is part of existence and we must accept it as such. How many times have we put off an encounter with God for another time, how many times have we postponed our dialogue with Him? Our brothers and sisters are also affected by this behavior. "Tomorrow I will help that girl who is in poverty" or "Tomorrow I will visit my friend to pray with him because he is going through a delicate moment. What we must keep in mind is that God is here and now. Our Lord is present action to illuminate the future and correct the past. It is true that sometimes we feel tired by the daily events and we do not have the strength to act immediately. That is why it is important to find a pause in the day to reflect with God. This pause should not be taken as something heavy and obligatory. Let us be aware that this time is ours and we are using it with our Lord. This small brake in our daily tasks will renew our strength and we will see everything with more clarity, illuminated by the marvelous light of Christ.
