The importance of living in Harmony

Having the ability to build healthy bonds with our neighbor is a task that requires from us a great commitment.

"Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand." Romans 14:4

Having the capacity to build authentic and healthy bonds with our fellow man is a task that requires a great commitment from us since we must develop and not neglect a series of factors that are fundamental at the time of relating harmoniously with our siblings.

Many times we take lightly the expression "to live in peace with others".

Our first impression is that we can easily reach this goal and, by adopting this attitude, we are emptying of content a value that has transcendental importance in the path that we have decided to undertake with the Lord.

Let us keep in mind that, in order to carry out this act of Love that the Word of God teaches us, we will have to emphasize a series of actions that we will have to develop and perfect throughout our existence.

“So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 7:12

How important it is to be able to relate in harmony with our neighbors, what a joy it is to interact in peace with our brothers and sisters!

When it comes to connecting and sharing with others, it is necessary to leave individualism aside. In a world where, from the mass media and the social networks, the ego is encouraged to an excessive extent, it can be a very difficult task to achieve this.

For this we must be predisposed to Listen, to Contain, to pronounce ourselves from the respect and truth of our heart, to be polite, kind, contemplative, and to have the necessary Wisdom to move away when we consider it pertinent.

By developing our Gifts of Humility, Patience, and Obedience we will be able to be closer to what the Word of the Highest dictates.

The desire of our Heavenly Father is that we can share life with our brothers at deep and genuine levels.

"May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you." 1 Thessalonians 3:12

God has created us to live in community, sharing our joys but also our heaviest burdens.

For this, it is necessary to listen wholeheartedly to what our brothers and sisters have to say to us since the Word of the Lord is also present in our lives through them. Sometimes it happens that we only listen to what interests us or attracts our attention. That is why we must be predisposed with a positive attitude and constructive spirit.

On the other hand, we must also be honest with others, expressing ourselves clearly and taking care not to offend our interlocutor.

Many times the impression that we can form about a particular event is not exactly what the other person wants to hear.

However, if we speak with the conviction that we are expressing ourselves under the guidance of our Heavenly Father, we have nothing to fear.

“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.” Proverbs 17:17

When from our sincere and loving commentary, we receive as an answer the brother's anger or offense, we should not hesitate to walk away and be attentive to the signal that God sends us, inviting us to withdraw in time so as not to generate more confusion in the other, leaving Christ to do the rest in his Spirit.

We should not interpret this attitude as a weakness.

In the course of our existences, we will find that some terrains are more arid than others, knowing that on fertile soil the fruits of the Word of the Lord will grow without hesitation, and on more hostile surfaces we will have to wait a little longer for the Light of Christ's Love to re-establish itself.

“Greet all God’s people with a holy kiss.” 1 Thessalonians 5:26

When it comes to listening to and containing our brothers and sisters in matters of importance, let us dedicate our time to them with Respect.

When we listen or are listened to we heal and soothe our anguish.

Let us put aside the devices that connect us to the world of individualism. Let us give selflessly that time for in those moments the Lord Is through us.

Let us listen to His voice to be the best instruments we can be in His Hands.
